Hematology Analyzer
The analyzer behind every Pegasus PRP dose. Now available to your practice.
Standardization Starts With Measurement
Cell counts shift throughout the day and vary from horse to horse, so standardizing PRP starts with measuring it. With the HORIBA ABX Micros 60 on the bench, every preparation is counted twice: the horse's blood for its baseline, and the finished PRP before it reaches the joint. The platelet dose is known, recorded, and repeatable, patient by patient. That means delivering a therapeutic dose with confidence, never an assumption: you confirm the red and white cells are low before you inject, which helps mitigate the risk of a post-injection flare, and you tie every response to the dose behind it — the precision that improving outcomes starts with. That is the standard our Wellington lab runs, in your practice.
HORIBA ABX Micros 60
The HORIBA ABX Micros 60 is the engine behind our lab in Wellington.
Accurate at high platelet concentrations
Counts up to 4,000 ×10³/µL without dilution. Even highly concentrated Pegasus PRP (6.4×) is well within range.
Keeps the PRP for the patient
Each CBC draws just 10 µL, so nearly the entire preparation goes to the treatment site.
A CBC in about a minute
Full 16-parameter counts, up to 55 samples per hour. Counting both the whole blood and the finished PRP adds just two minutes to your process.
Easy to run, easy to maintain
Closed-tube sampling, a fully automatic cycle, and a self-cleaning probe. Three reagents in a single sealed pack that collects the waste, all on a 31 lb benchtop.
Specifications per HORIBA — full details in the HORIBA ABX Micros document under Resources below.
